Acrylics, Oils & Wood Burns by Geri Bocina
Originally from New Jersey, Geri began as a student of art in1988 taking classes with Ruth Wilson, a professional New Jersey watercolorist. She then attended The Summit School of Art and Design, with additional classes at Parsons School of Design in New York City. Studying elements of design led Geri to expand into acrylic and oil, painting large murals in restaurants, hotels, and private homes when the demand for Trompe-l'œil and faux finishes was extremely popular. In 2017, Geri moved to Southern California, taking a new interest in wood burning and writing. She wrote, illustrated, and published a children’s storybook called The Why Berry Wizard. Inspired by another creative idea, Geri then began painting on wine, champagne, and whiskey bottles. She enjoys creating custom art pieces for special occasions and showing her art at small local events in the Orange County area. With her family nearby, Geri enjoys three wonderful married boys, their beautiful spouses, and her 5 very curious grandchildren who are the inspiration for her writing.
Geri commissions artwork as gifts for weddings, birthdays, baby showers, births, graduations, holidays, or any other special occasion that you may be celebrating. She thoroughly enjoys working together with a client to produce a custom piece of art, the thrill of the new project that will be cherished by another client made friend.
